This documentary series looks at Europe and the EU with a “Europe for dummies”-approach. Some fundamental questions are as follows. Where has Europe come from? Where does Europe stand today? And most importantly, what will Europe be like in a few years’ time? Will there be an EU? How does the EU work? Above all, what’s in it for me? This series is meant to be broadcast in the spring of 2014, prior to the elections to the European Parliament in June 2014. At that time, the debate about the future of the EU will be prevailing and relevant. YLE is producing the series, which will also be broadcast by three other Nordic public service broadcasting companies, SVT, NRK and DR, through the Nordvision co-production network. Now, we are offering the same series to potentially interested European broadcasters.
